Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."
Pregnancy is arguably the best excuse a human being will ever have to sit back and chill out a bit, but Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle seems intent on doing no such thing with her first pregnancy. On Monday, the Duchess and her husband the Duke continued their royal tour of Morocco, visiting the Royal Equestrian Club and the Andalusian Gardens. The Duchess wore a different outfit for each outing, and then changed one more time to prepare for a visit with the King of Morocco himself.
For her visit to the King's royal residence, the Duchess opted for a floor-length blue chiffon dress from Carolina Herrera's Fall 2019 collection. Currently available for pre-order on Moda Operandi for $2,990, the floral printed dress wasn't designed specifically to be maternity wear, but the high fitted waistline and flowy skirt make it work for that purpose. Worn with a simple clutch and stud earrings, the look felt dressed up without being over-the-top fancy.
